Dallas Schools

Dallas Independent School District

The Dallas Independent School District has achieved record-breaking success in terms of student and school accomplishments. These achievements stem from the dedication of many people – the students themselves, their teachers and other school staff, principals, administrators, and the more than 19,000 community volunteers and school partners who support the students with time, talent, and funds.

Richardson Independent School District

RISD is located in northern Dallas County and covers 38.5 square miles. This area encompasses most of the city of Richardson, as well as portions of the cities of Dallas and Garland.

Please visit our Richardson Schools page for school listings.

Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD

The C-FBISD encompasses 53.42 square miles and is located primarily in northwest Dallas County with a smaller portion in southeast Denton County. The school district's boundaries are not the same as municipal boundaries. The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District provides instructional services to children who live in portions of Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Addison, Coppell, Dallas, and Irving.

Garland Independent School District

With an enrollment of over 57,000 students, the Garland Independent School District is the second largest district in Dallas County and one of the largest districts in the state of Texas. The community maintains a “small town” feeling, yet our teachers have access to the increased resources that large districts offer.

Frisco Independent School District

Because many are choosing to plant roots in the Frisco area, Frisco ISD is at the top of the fastest growing school districts growing by 20-30 percent annually in the past 9 years. Student enrollment in May of 2007 is 24,243. More than 27,500 students are expected in the fall of the 2007-2008 school year. There were 27,207 students enrolled on the second day of school, representing 16 percent growth compared to the same time last year.

McKinney Independent School District

The McKinney Independent School District rates as one of the fastest growing school districts in North Texas and continues to receive academic commendations for the performance of its students.
